Ortophoto

The digital orthophoto is an evolution of the different methodologies to represent a territory and has become an integrative tool useful for its planning and management. For these reasons it represents an essential tool for territorial information systems.

It is a mosaic of digital aerial photographs inserted in a specific reference system and ortho adjusted by the projection on DTM (Digital Terrain Model) and DSM (Digital Surface Model) which solves image distortion. In this way, an overlap with digital numeric cartography is obtained, within the geometric tolerances provided.

The scale of detail is defined by the size of the ground pixel that varies depending on the needs but can reach high-detail scales such as for planning in historical centers. These are the different export file formats: GeoTIFF or TIFF&TFW, 8/16 bit, RGB/CIR/RGBI

It’s also possible to export original images with orthorectified seamlines, in the same formats as above.

This product represents an excellent tool for monitoring illegal building, to study the changes in a specific geographical area, assess any work to be carried out or the evolution of the shoreline.

 

True-Orthophoto

True Ortophoto is basically an ortophoto where each point as precise X-Y coordinates.

It is obtained by projecting back the aero photogrammetric survey images pixel by pixel over the DSM.

The derived DSM is so accurate that projecting back the original images and producing the True Ortophoto it’s almost impossible to distinguish the seamlines.

These are the different export file formats: GeoTIFF or TIFF&TFW, 8/16 bit, RGB/CIR/RGBI

It’s also possible to export original images with orthorectified seamlines, in the same formats as above.
